Meet James
My parents got me my first camera when I was 7, a disposable camera from a fast-food joint. Ever since then, photography was my passion. When I was 18, I started my photography career and in 2011, I launched Dodge & Burn Studios.
The name is a nod to the darkrooms that I spent many hours in. Most of my days are spent in Photoshop and Lightroom now, but the dodge and burn concept is still around.
I love working with families and their kiddos. I feel like playing and having fun can create great memories for us to capture. I also enjoy working with seniors. I like helping seniors feel comfortable and have fun in front of the camera. I remember what it was like when I was a senior in high school and the last thing I wanted to do was to have my photo taken. I'll make sure we have a good time and walk away with something awesome.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm probably playing with my kids, playing guitar, or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen.
Thanks for checking me out and I can't wait to work with you.
